Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on 18 September creating the Termez Free Economic Zone (FEZ), aimed at further development of trade-economic and transport-logistics ties with the neighboring countries, in particular with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Xalq So’zi (People's Word) newspaper said.
Bakhodir Pulatov, acting governor of Surkhandarya province met with executives of Surxon-Global Trede LLC and the leadership of the managing company of Termez FEZ.
The parties discussed in detail the ways to attract investments to set up production of finished products and components, introduction of high-end technologies, creation of new jobs and laying engineering communications, traffic and social infrastructure at the Termez FEZ located on three thousand hectares.
