Director of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Construction and Road Machinery under the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Yevgeniy Korchevoy held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan - Chairman of the Board of UzAgroTechSanoatHolding Nodir Otadjonov.

The talks are part of the agreements reached within the framework of the last visit of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov to Uzbekistan in October 2017.

The counterparts discussed the delivery of agromachineries, including soil cultivation, sowing, food and processing equipment, as well as construction, road and municipal equipment for construction and maintenance of roads in Tashkent city, focusing on the implementation of the Agreement on setting up assembling of agricultural equipment between the Chirchik Plant of Agricultural Machineries and KZ Rostselmash.

They noted that the implementation of the joint project will allow Uzbekistan to modernize the technical base of Uzbek farms, and Rostselmash plant - to expand its presence not only in Uzbekistan, but also in Central Asia.

This, in turn, will promote the export of agricultural machinery to third countries bordering with Uzbekistan, which is in line with the goals and objectives defined in the Export Development Strategy for the Agricultural Machinery Industry until 2025.

In turn, Nodir Otanyonov stressed that setting up of joint production would be an important step in the deepening of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, and will allow reducing the cost of agricultural equipment for Uzbek farmers.

The agreements on setting up of assembly of agricultural equipment between Chirchik Agricultural Plant and KZ Rostselmash was signed on April 3, 2017 according to it, assembly and stage-by-stage localization of production of agricultural machinery based on the technologies of Rostselmash will be carried out at the site of Chirchik Plant.
