Uzbekistan delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov yesterday held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Trade of Spain, Maria Luisa PONSELA in Madrid, Uzbek foreign ministry said.
The counterparts reportedly discussed the priority areas for further advancing cooperation in the trade, economic and investment areas, noting that today Uzbekistan and Spain have sufficient opportunities for expanding investment ties, increasing the volume and range of two-way trade, which in January-July reached $71.5 million.
At the meeting and during the business forum featuring business executives of Uzbek and Spanish companies the prospects of implementing new joint projects were reviewed in detail .
Memorandum between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on economic and industrial cooperation, as well as the Cooperation Agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce of Spain were signed during the events.
