Porcelain and ceramic glazed tiles manufacturing plant was inaugurated today at Angren free economic zone, the Committee for Investments said.
The Chinese Gulf Cable Trading Company and Uzbek partners set up JV National Ceramics to manage the plant.
The project cost stands at 21.1 million dollars, including $ 20.9 million FDI.
The plant is designed to manufacture 2 mln sq.m. porcelain tiles and 2.5 mln sq.m. of ceramic tiles annually. It is planned to export at least 30% of the total produce to the countries of Central Asia, CIS and other countries.
The Italian Sacmi's energy saving process line has been chosen for the project, with over 80 jobs created.
