The Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan for 2018-2020, signed on March 6, 2017 in Ashgabat during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan entered into force Monday.

Under the provisions of the Agreement, the parties will step up their cooperation in the further development of trade and economic relations, including through creating favorable conditions for increasing two-way trade turnover, increasing the volume and range of supply of goods (services), and establishing direct contacts between businesses of the two countries.

The Agreement also approves the Program, which provides for the implementation of 35 economic and trade cooperation activities.
