President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a coal briquette production plant, a Uzbekistan Railways subsidiary in Pap District of the Namangan province, UzA reported.
The $ 7 million, 500,000 ton coal briquettes annual capacity plant will create 160 jobs.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev watched the briquettes process of manufacturing, inquired about the price and characteristics of products. Coal powder is processed on modern technology, enriched, is purified from harmful gases and pressed into briquettes convenient for transportation. This product is relatively cheaper than traditional types of energy and can be delivered to remote areas.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev pointed to the need to organize distribution points in the country's provinces, deliver not only briquettes to households, but also furnaces intended for their burning, and provide preferential loans for these purposes. He also gave recommendations on the creation of such modern enterprises in other areas of the country.
The presentation of the projects of JSC UzQurilishMateriallari was also held here. US$ 200 million dollars are expected to be invested in the Namangan province in 2017-2018 years for building materials production sector.
Projects are presented for organization of production of cement, slates, asbestos pipes, concrete and semisynthetic lubricants in Pap District, cement in Kasansay and Yangikurgan districts, ceramic plates and sanitary ware in Namangan, burnt bricks in Pap, Turakurgan, Uychi, Yangikurgan districts, as well as finishing stones in Chust district.
