The Avant-Garde Through Time And Space exhibition from the collection of the Karakalpakstan Museum of Arts after Igor Savitsky will open on January 18 in Tashkent’s Gallery of Fine Arts.

The exhibition, lasting through February 18, will feature 126 works by the Russian and Uzbek avant-garde, including paintings by the Jack of Diamonds group founded by Robert Falk and Vasily Rozhdestvensky, Turkestanian artists Alexander Volkov, Ural Tansykboev, Alexander Nikolaev (Usto Mumin) and Victor Ufimtsev, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan said.

The exhibition will notably feature Vladimir Lysenko’s The Bull, the symbol of the Savitsky Museum.
