Third meeting between the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev and business leaders is scheduled for the second half of August, the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade (MIIT) reported. The date of the meeting has not yet been announced.
MIIT, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Business Ombudsman, began accepting letters to the head of state.
Business leaders can send problems and suggestions to hotlines 1094 and 1100, as well as through the business.gov.uz portal.
On August 20, 2021, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with businesss leaders in the format of an open dialogue for the first time. At that time, more than 15 thousand questions and proposals were received. They were systematized in seven areas, after which a number of presidential decisions were made to address the problems.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev at that meeting suggested holding such an event every year and declaring August 20 as the Day of Businesspeople.
The second meeting was held on August 22 last year, where the president, among other things, announced a reduction in VAT to 12%.
