A delegation of the Uzbekistan’s Central Election Commission headed by the Deputy Chairman Adilov K. is taking part in monitoring of the parliamentary elections to Lithuania Seimas that are to take place on October 9.
Elections monitoring is one of the most transparent ways of promoting and encouraging of democracy, which serves to strengthen the principles of openness and transparency of the electoral process.
Earlier in 2015, Uzbekistan’s delegation participated as international observers in the municipal elections in Lithuania. In turn, members of parliament and Central Election Commission of Lithuania participated in the monitoring of the parliamentary and presidential elections of our country in 2014 and 2015.
We remind that the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan has already sent invitations to international organizations such as the Commonwealth of Independent States, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, OSCE Office for Democratic institutions, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Association of World Election Bodies, and to numerous representatives of countries of Asia, Europe, the CIS, Americas and Africa to participate in the monitoring of the forthcoming presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will take place on December 4 this year.
