Uzbekistan defeated England 2-1 in 1/8 final of the U17 World Cup in Indonesia. Uzbekistan took the lead inside four minutes when Amirbek Saidov forced a close-range header over the line after England keeper Tommy Setford saved the initial shot.

The Young White Wolves let England dominate possession which led to Joel Ndala being released and finishing calmly one-on-one with 35 minutes played.

Uzbekistan struck next when Lazizbek Mirzaev whipped a fantastic free-kick into the top corner. England had half-an-hour to find an equalizer and failed to find the back of the net of the Uzbek goalkeeper.
