President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "Nurafshon Maxsus Texnika" (Nurafshon Special Machinery) plant in the city of Nurafshon.
Spanning 25.8 hectares, this 50-million-dollar facility manufactures specialized vehicles, military hardware, and various mechanical equipment under the "KRANTAS" brand. The enterprise currently provides permanent employment for over 300 highly skilled specialists.
To date, the plant has produced nearly 2,500 tons of metal structures, over 300 vehicle superstructures, more than 200 chassis, and over 20 tractors. Last year alone, the company delivered 275 billion soums worth of machinery and equipment to its clients.
The enterprise is heavily focused on scaling up the production of import-substituting goods. To support this expansion, plans are underway to build a new factory on a 10-hectare site in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district. This move is expected to drive domestic production, replacing 15 to 18 million dollars worth of imports annually.
During his visit, the Head of State inspected the manufacturing lines, finished products, and modern technological solutions implemented at the complex. In discussions with sector officials and engineers, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the critical importance of expanding localization, boosting industrial cooperation, and manufacturing high-value-added products.
