Following reports circulating on social media regarding an amusement park ride collapse in Jizzakh, the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety has issued an official response to the situation.
The incident occurred on June 10 at approximately 10:00 PM within the grounds of the "Urda" amusement park. The 16-seat "Drop Tower" ride belongs to a local enterprise and was manufactured in 2019.
Four people sustained bodily injuries of varying severity as a result of the malfunction and were rushed to the hospital. They are currently under close medical observation.
A routine technical safety inspection of the ride had previously been conducted on November 5, 2025. Competent authorities are currently carrying out a preliminary investigation into the cause of the accident.
