The State Assets Management Agency (SAMA) has listed a premium office building in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent for privatization, according to data posted on the E-auksion platform.
The commercial property is situated immediately adjacent to the "Mirzo Ulugbek" metro station and sits directly opposite the Bunyodkor Stadium. Located at 23 Bunyodkor Avenue, the facility currently serves as the headquarters for the state-owned holding company Thermal Power Plants (JSC "TPP").
The listing features a nine-story administrative building with attached extensions, boasting a total indoor footprint of 7,620 square meters. The overall property parcel, including the surrounding grounds, spans 0.46 hectares. In terms of engineering networks, the complex is equipped with water, sewerage, and electricity systems, though it lacks a direct natural gas connection.
The asset opens with a starting bid price of 191.53 billion soums, and the electronic auction is scheduled to take place at 10:00 AM on July 2.
The property was brought to market pursuant to a confidential Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated March 7, 2025, which regulates the systematic privatization of public administration buildings. Under the finalized transaction terms, the current state tenant is legally obligated to fully vacate the premises within three years. However, should the alternative administrative complex designated for the user in New Tashkent be completed ahead of schedule, the facility will be handed over to the buyer earlier, granting immediate occupancy rights upon possession.
This move follows a broader real estate consolidation campaign. Previously, Hamkorbank acquired the Ministry of Construction's headquarters in central Tashkent for 196 billion soums. Furthermore, under an executive presidential decree taking effect on July 1, all government agencies across 15 designated cities and districts in Uzbekistan will begin relocating into single, multi-story civic complexes, with the vacated state buildings set to be systematically auctioned off to private investors.
