Delegation led by the Deputy Director of the Agency for the Development of the Civil Service, Saidfarrukh Islomov returned from a working visit to Austria.
The main goal of the visit was the networking with foreign partners for the development of Uzbek government bodies and study the Austrian experience in decentralizing public administration.
With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the delegation held fruitful negotiations with the Austrian Parliament, the Ministry of Public Services, the Ministry of Justice, the Association of Cities and Villages, the Federal State of Styria, the administrations of the cities of Graz, Vienna and Krems, and the Krems University of Applied Sciences.
The parties discussed the ways to launch special training courses for Uzbek civil servants in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Academy of Public Administration at the Ministry of Public Services.
At the meeting held at the Austrian Ministry of Justice, an agreement was reached to step up cooperation between the countries not only bilaterally, but also multilaterally, as well as to develop and sign draft regulatory legal acts in areas of mutual interest.
At the Association of Cities and Villages, members of the Uzbek delegation were provided information about the functioning of the Austrian governance system and the role of the association in their development.
During the visit, at meetings with the administrations of the Federal State of Styria, Graz and Vienna, views were exchanged on the division of power, the procedure for organizing work in the sectors, and other issues of interest to the delegation.
