According to the Ministry of Ecology, Deputy of Environment, Iskandar was in Seoul on October 7-11 and held talks with several waste processing companies.

Also, the Deputy Minister Qutbiddinov became familiar with enterprises that obtain "green" energy by burning waste. Talks were held with representatives of the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

In addition, Iskandar Qutbiddinov met with the CEO of the Korean Environmental Corporation (K-ECO) under the Korean Ministry of Environment. During the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on strengthening mutual cooperation and sharing experience in environmental safety.

In the end, a 4-year $6.2-million dollar grant project agreement was signed for the construction of a sustainable waste processing plant in Jizzakh province.

Within the scope of the project, landfill reclamation, collection of 300 thousand cubic meters of waste, covering with soil, collection of landfill gas and burning by pyrolysis method, installation of electric energy production equipment (electrogenerator) have been defined.
