Yandex Uzbekistan vows to open an office in Tashkent in the fall, the company’s press service said. “The opening of the office will allow us to expand the team, expedite the launch of new products and scale the services already operating in the country,” the company said in a statement.
The Tashkent office will unite employees of Yandex Go taxi and delivery services, as well as educational, entertainment and other services in Uzbekistan.
After the opening of the office, Yandex plans to begin interning young IT specialists.
As part of the IT education program, Yandex also plans to open coding schools for high school students and coding courses for computer science teachers with access to teaching materials on Python.
Yandex also supports the Technovation Girls mentoring program for the development of girls in IT business and conducts intensive sports coding.
