The Copper concentrator-3 project is part of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC). It is expected to process products from the $5.12 billion Yoshlik-1 deposit. In early February, the director of AGMK Abdullo Khursanov said that the president had instructed t oimplement the Copper concentrator-3 project begin no later than July 1, and the “engineering, basic design works” to be completed by March 1.

Enter Engineering and the Russian Uralmashzavod were selected for the construction contractors. The project was then estimated at $2 billion, and implementation was scheduled for 2023. Initially, the project was to be implemented by Renaissance Heavy Industries under the control of SFI Management Group, but in February 2021 they were excluded from the project.
