Vladimir Norov was sacked from the Foreign Minister role due to his moving to another job. The decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, his spokesman Sherzod Asadov said.

He had served as head of the Foreign Ministry since April 2022 (he was approved as a minister in September) after the retirement of Abdulaziz Kamilov. 

By another decree Bakhtiyor Saidov was appointed as the acting Foreign Minister of Affairs, who had previously worked as the Minister of Public Education since November 2021. 

Bakhtiyor Saidov,41, is a graduate of the Tashkent University of Economy (undergraduate and graduate). He previously worked in the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade. Since July 2017, he had served as the Ambassador to China. In April 2018, he concurrently became Ambassador to Mongolia, and in July 2019, Ambassador to the Philippines with residence in Beijing.
