In January-July of this year, the average monthly gross salary in Uzbekistan reached 5,092 thousand soums, or 400 USD. This figure was 4,337 thousand soums in the same time of 2023, the Statistics Agency said in a report.
Reportedly, the highest average monthly gross wages in provinces were in Tashkent city (8.4 million soums), Navoi (6.6 million soums), Tashkent (4.9 million soums), Andijan (4 .4 million soums) provinces and in Karakalpakstan (4.2 million soums).
For six months, the highest growth of the average monthly gross wages were in Tashkent city (20.2 %), Samarkand (18.2 %), Andijan (17.6 %), Fergana (16.8 %) and Navoi ( 16.2 %) was observed in the provinces.
Average monthly wages by trades:
- banking, insurance, leasing, credit and brokerage activities — 14.4 million soums;
- information and communication — 12.4 million soums;
- transportation and storage — 7.7 million soums;
- industry - 6.2 million soums;
- sales - 5.9 million soums;
- construction - 5.4 million soums;
- hotels and food & beverages — 4.6 million soums;
- education - 3.5 million soums;
- healthcare and social services — 3.3 million soums.
