Shavkat Mirziyoyev today held a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the "Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2019”. Earlier, President Mirziyoyev, leading a large and high powered delegation arrived in Gandhinagar on 17 January welcomed by Shri O. P. Kohli, Governor of Gujarat.

Yesterday, the President Donald Trump Administration extended the sanctions regime targeting human rights abusers and corrupt actors around the world. President Donald J. Trump by his letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate extended the Executive Order of 2017, December 20 declaring a national emergency with respect to serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world and providing for the imposition of sanctions on actors engaged in these malign activities, the letter said. 

The PR Department of the Foreign Ministry informs said that Uzbekistan welcomes the initiative of the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, on the establishment of the Peace Advisory Council and the governmental group on peace talks.
