President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the delegation of the Uzbekistan-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, led by its Chair, Carolyn Lamm, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the events of the American Business Week in Uzbekistan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev , sincerely welcoming the guests, noted with particular satisfaction the dynamic development of the Uzbek-American multifaceted cooperation. The fruitful outcomes of his official visit to the United States in May opened a new era of strategic partnership.

Uzbekistan is advancing cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and innovation spheres with such leading U.S. companies as General Electric, Boeing, CNH Industrial, John Deere, Honeywell, Silverleaf, White & Case and by many others.

Today, the portfolio of promising projects exceeds US$ 5 billion and covers engineering, oil and gas and gas chemical industries, electric power, textile and food industries, agriculture, health care and education.

25 new companies with the participation of U.S. investment have been created in Uzbekistan year-to-date, with the two-way trade volume doubling.

The sides highlighted the role of the Uzbek-American Chamber of Commerce, which includes 37 world-renowned companies, investment corporations and U.S. banks in strengthening mutually beneficial business cooperation and discussed concrete prospects for further deepening practical cooperation in various sectors, first of all in promoting technological partnership.

The importance of the timely implementation of the agreements reached, as well as the preparation of investment projects involving new members of the Chamber was stressed.

Important attention was paid to the further formation of favorable conditions for the long-term presence of leading U.S. companies in the Uzbekistan market.

On behalf of the U.S. business community, Carolyn Lamm expressed deep gratitude to Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome and comprehensive support for the activities of the members of the Chamber .

She added that the ongoing reform efforts in Uzbekistan, covering all areas, open broad opportunities for the successful implementation of business initiatives and that the U.S.-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce is ready to actively promote and participate in the further advancing and strengthening of productive trade, economic, investment and technological cooperation between the two countries.
