Executives of Uzbekistan Railways hosted the representatives of Switzerland’s Stadler Rail Group  Monday and explored the ways to launch production of railcars in Uzbekistan for their further exports to the countries of Central Asia and a number of other projects, the company said in a statement.

The Uzbek side made proposals to implement Stadler’s technology and solutions at Uzbekistan’s railway sector enterprises, as well as the supply of components and main traction systems for electric locomotives, and in particular, the supply of metro trains made in Switzerland.

Stadler Rail Group is a Swiss manufacturer of railway rolling stock, with an emphasis on regional train multiple units and trams. Stadler is headquartered in Bussnang, Switzerland.
